Mattress Amnesty: Monaghan County Council are holding a mattress amnesty on Saturday, 21 July, 9am – 1pm at Scotch Corner and Carrickmacross recycling Centres. Save yourself at least €20 per mattress by leaving your mattress on the day for free. An anti-dumping initiative supported by Monaghan County Council and the Government of Ireland.

Join in Bat Survey Training and Site Visit (Doohamlet): Monday, 23 July at 8.30pm inDoohamlet Community Centre. Training is part of Daubenton’s Bat All-Ireland Survey and is being organised by Bat Conservation Ireland in conjunction with Doohamlet Tidy Towns.

Community Enhancement Programme 2018. Funding available for not-for-profit groups from Monaghan Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) for projects in the county. Deadline for receipt of applications is Monday, 30 July at 5pm. Details at ‘News’ at monaghan.ie/monaghan-council.
