For almost a decade, Transition Monaghan have been creating the “Sustainability Matters” column. The column has been printed on a weekly basis in the Northern Standard newspaper which circulates in Monaghan and surrounding counties. The aim of the column has always been to increase awareness and education on a range of environmental and sustainability issues of local, national and international interest. Water Quality Video with Síolta Chroí and LAWPRO 2021/2022
Transition Monaghan are involved in a Water Quality awareness video project on Monaghan water quality. The project is led by Siolta Chroi, supported by Transition Monaghan and funded by LAWPRO). At this stage in late 2021, a lot of the footage has been taken and a few interviews have been done. T’M’ members on Strategic Policy Committees with Monaghan Co-Co
Transition Monaghan have three delegates on Monaghan County Councils Strategic Policy Committee. Delegates give feedback on Monaghan County Councils initiatives. The Committee meets four times a year and delegates report back to Transition Monaghan.

Forest School: Rossmore Park Spring 2017
Transition Monaghan invited Earth Force Education (Ciara Hinksman and Lucy O Hagan) to Rossmore Park in April 2017 to deliver a series of Forest School sessions. Transition Monaghan organised this event which was part funded by Monaghan County Council.
In later years Transition Monaghan helped promote independently run events by Nourished by Nature, Tanagh OEC, Castleblayney OEC. Rainy at Wild n Free has run events in Rossmore Park in 2021 and is planning more.
